Bulkhead Project Complete at Gulf Ship, L.L.C.
Harrison County Development Commission (HCDC) is proud to announce that construction is complete on a 680-foot bulkhead at Gulf Ship, L.L.C., a significant infrastructure investment on the Industrial Seaway in Gulfport.
This project was made possible through RESTORE Act grant funding, with support from both the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
“We are proud to contribute to the continued success of Edison Chouest Offshore and the growing momentum along the Seaway,” said Bill Lavers, Executive Director of HCDC. “This effort highlights the power of partnerships from the public and private sectors in supporting Gulfport’s industrial future.”
The Bulkhead project was designed and overseen by HCDC staff engineer Jason Gibson. It was constructed by Fair Tide Construction, with steel materials supplied by Meever, concrete provided by All American, aggregate sourced from Warren Paving Inc., hauling services provided by Seals Trucking, and miscellaneous materials obtained from Ferguson.
The new bulkhead enhances operational capabilities at Gulf Ship and supports long-term maritime development along the Gulf Coast.
